Dominique Kight

I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Agnes Scott College, with an expected graduation date of Spring 2027. My decision to pursue counseling is deeply rooted in my own life experiences. As a young single mother who experienced trauma, I understand how challenging it can be to navigate life while carrying the weight of past experiences, expectations, and responsibilities. My own journey toward healing, growth, and breaking unhealthy cycles inspired me to pursue a career where I can help other women navigate their own experiences with greater understanding, compassion, and support.

I enjoy working with women ages 18 and older who are navigating anxiety and stress, self-worth, perfectionism, major life transitions, pregnancy and postpartum experiences, motherhood, and the unique challenges faced by single mothers and professional moms. I am also passionate about helping women explore the connection between their emotional well-being and their physical experiences, recognizing that the mind and body are deeply connected.

I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and accepted for who they are. I believe that our past experiences can shape us, but they do not have to define our future. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed by the demands of motherhood, struggling with your sense of self, adjusting to a new season of life, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, I want to provide a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin to reconnect with who you are. I am currently under the supervision of Liza Reed, LPC, LMFT, GA Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS #1469).
